Equipment Types

Traction Elevators
Geared and gearless traction systems use steel ropes or flat belts driven by an electric machine. These are the standard for mid-rise and high-rise buildings.
Applications: Office towers, hospitals, hotels, high-rise residential
Key Maintenance: Rope inspection, machine bearing service, controller diagnostics, governor testing
Hydraulic Elevators
Hydraulic elevators use a fluid-driven piston to raise and lower the car. They are cost-effective for low-rise buildings up to approximately 6 stories.
Applications: Low-rise office, medical, retail, residential
Key Maintenance: Oil analysis, cylinder inspection, valve adjustment, pump motor service
Machine-Room-Less (MRL)
MRL elevators place the machine and controller within the hoistway, eliminating the need for a dedicated machine room. They are increasingly specified for new construction.
Applications: New construction, space-constrained renovations, mid-rise buildings
Key Maintenance: In-hoistway machine access, flat belt inspection, compact controller diagnostics
Escalators
Escalators and moving walks provide continuous passenger movement in high-traffic environments. They require specialized maintenance including step chain, handrail, and drive system service.
Applications: Retail, transit, convention centers, airports
Key Maintenance: Step chain tensioning, handrail drive service, comb plate inspection, cleaning
